What is Wool Carpet?

Wool is a fiber shorn from a sheep every nine to twelve months (making it very renewable). It does not harm the host and is completely natural. Sheep eat only grass and their wool is composed of over 20 amino acids.  New Zealand sheep are raised on land unsuitable for most other agricultural purposes and the sheep are rotated to different areas to prevent land destruction. Because of these reasons, wool carpet is considered the original “green” certified product.
