What type of Carpet Pad should be installed over Radiant Heat?
It is recommended to use either a flat rubber or a synthetic cushion that is no thicker than 3/8 of an inch. A natural rubber pad will be the least toxic and provide good long lasting support with minimal impact to the radiant heat system.
