Frequently Asked Questions

Is Ascent waterproof? Yes. The WPC core is 100% waterproof. Wipe up standing water promptly and follow Shaw's installation guide for wet areas.

Do I need underlayment? No cushion underlayment is needed because every plank has an attached pad. When installing over concrete, check Shaw's installation guide for moisture requirements.

Can it be glued down? Yes. Ascent can be installed as a floating click floor or fully glued down.

How many cartons do I need? Each carton covers 26.56 sq ft. Multiply your room's square footage by 1.08 to add 8% overage, divide by 26.56 and round up. A 500 sq ft room needs 21 cartons.

Can I get samples? Yes. Order up to 3 free samples, or call 1-888-976-8166 for a quote.
