Frequently Asked Questions

Is Shaw Dockside waterproof? Yes. The SPC core is 100% waterproof, so it works in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and basements. Wipe up standing water promptly and follow Shaw's installation guide for wet areas.

Do I need underlayment? No cushion underlayment is needed because every plank has an attached foam pad. When installing over concrete, check Shaw's installation guide for moisture requirements.

How many cartons do I need? Each carton covers 21.27 sq ft. Multiply your room's square footage by 1.08 to add 8% overage, divide by 21.27 and round up. A 500 sq ft room needs 26 cartons.

Can I get samples? Yes. Order up to 3 free samples, or call 1-888-976-8166 for a quote.
