Bjelin Oak Nature XL Hardwood Flooring collection

Bjelin Oak Nature XL Hardwood Flooring

Bjelin Oak Nature XL brings genuine European oak to a floor engineered to outlast it. Built on Bjelin's patented Woodura® surface technology, every plank pairs a real oak wear layer with a Compositek™ core that's rated 3–5x more impact-resistant than traditional engineered or solid hardwood — without giving up the warmth, grain, and character of authentic wood. Nature grade lets each plank show its natural personality: subtle knots, mineral streaks, and grain variation across six colorways, from soft whitewashed tones to deep, dramatic browns. The Välinge 5G® Dry locking system adds waterproof-joint technology for a floating, glueless install that goes down fast and stays put.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this real wood or vinyl? Bjelin Oak Nature XL is genuine European oak — a real wood wear layer bonded to an engineered Compositek™ core via Bjelin's Woodura® process. It's not vinyl, laminate, or a printed wood-look surface.

Is it waterproof? Yes — Bjelin Oak Nature XL carries a 72-hour waterproof rating direct from the manufacturer. The surface is water-resistant, the Compositek™ core handles moisture, and the Välinge 5G® Dry locking system keeps liquid from seeping through the seams, so everyday spills can sit for up to 72 hours without damage. That makes it suitable for kitchens and hallways; it's still not intended for permanently wet areas like full showers or exterior use.

How is it installed? Floating installation with the glueless Välinge 5G® fold-down click system; glue-down is also an option. Standard 48-hour acclimation is recommended before installation.

What's the difference between Nature and Select grade? Nature grade (this collection) celebrates the natural beauty of wood, with unique, unpredictable patterns, knots, and character marks for a warm, nostalgic look. Select grade, a separate line, is a more harmonious, soothing option with fewer knots and less color variation.

Is it compatible with radiant heat? Yes, Bjelin Oak Nature XL is radiant-heat compatible.

Does it hold up to pets and heavy traffic? Yes — the Class 33 wear rating and hardened Woodura® surface are built for heavy residential and light commercial traffic, and are rated 3x more durable than traditional hardwood.
