Is Grand Estate real hardwood? Yes. It's engineered hardwood: a real European white oak surface over a stable layered core, 3/4" thick.

Can it be floated? No. Grand Estate is installed by nail, staple or glue-down only.

Is it waterproof? No. Like all real hardwood it isn't waterproof, so wipe up spills promptly and avoid full bathrooms and other wet areas.

Can it go in a basement or over radiant heat? Yes. It's approved above, on or below grade (glued down over a properly prepared slab) and for radiant heat.

How do I care for an oil finish? Sweep or vacuum regularly and use a cleaner made for oil-finished wood floors. Oil finishes can be spot-refreshed over time.

How many cartons do I need? Each carton covers 24.62 sq ft. Multiply your room's square footage by 1.08 to add 8% overage, then divide by 24.62 and round up. For example, a 500 sq ft room needs 22 cartons.
