Bjelin Contrast – Desert Oak

Desert Oak (Bjelin style Hylta) is part of Bjelin's Contrast Collection: Nature-grade European oak with a warm light brown base with soft white worked into the grain. Nine precision-engineered brushes work contrasting pigments into the surface so every annual ring and grain line stands out, finished in a smooth Pro Matte lacquer over Bjelin's Woodura® hardened-wood construction.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Contrast Desert different from Bjelin's other XL planks? It uses the same 8.1" x 86.6" XL plank and Nature grade as Oak Nature XL, but adds a two-tone pigment process and a smooth Pro Matte finish instead of a wire-brushed surface, and it is rated Class 33 for heavy commercial use.

Is it waterproof? The Woodura® surface and the leakproof 5G® Dry™ joints resist everyday spills and moisture. It is not intended for full bathrooms, saunas or exterior use.

Can it go over radiant heat? Yes, as a floating floor following Bjelin's installation guidelines.
