The Look

Petronas Oak is a traditional oak visual with the natural grain and tonal variation COREtec builds into its Grande styles. COREtec has no published color description for this shade, so we don't guess at its exact hue; a free sample will show it best.

Why Choose Petronas Oak?

• Enhanced painted bevel for definition
• No acclimation period
• Lifetime limited residential warranty

Installation

Petronas Oak can be floated or direct-glued on, above or below grade. Keep the installation area between 55 and 85°F. COREtec allows an optional 6 mil poly vapor retarder under the planks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Petronas Oak quiet underfoot? The 3 mm cork underlayment bonded to each plank softens footsteps and reduces hollow sound compared with a plank laid without underlayment.

Can Petronas Oak go upstairs over a wood subfloor? Yes. COREtec approves above-grade installs over properly prepared subfloors that are flat within 3/16" in 10 feet.

What edge does Petronas Oak have? An enhanced painted bevel, which outlines each board for a more hardwood-like appearance.

Is Petronas Oak waterproof? Yes. COREtec says the floor won't warp or buckle from water. The warranty covers surface moisture, not flooding.
