Eternal Step SR Commercial Safety Sheet Vinyl Flooring by Forbo

Eternal Step SR is the higher-traction member of Forbo's Eternal Step family, listed on Forbo's US site as Eternal Step SR11. Carborundum chips in the wear layer give it an R11 slip rating (DIN 51130), aimed at areas where grease, water or other contamination is likely. The color range sticks to practical greys, warm neutrals, a blue-grey and a green.

Best for: Commercial kitchens, light food production, florist shops, garden centers and other areas where the slip risk is higher than a standard corridor.

How Safety Sheet Vinyl Is Sold

Eternal Step SR is a 2.0 mm (0.080") slip-resistant vinyl sheet in rolls about 79" (2 m) wide x about 82 ft long, about 60 sq yd per roll. It is cut to the length your project needs and quoted by the square yard. The factory edge is not seam quality, so allow at least 1" for seam trimming at each seam. Give us your room dimensions and we will help you plan roll cuts and quantities.

Because sheet is cut to your order, cut sheet goods are not returnable. Please confirm colors with samples and measurements with your installer before ordering.

Installation and Supplies

Eternal Step SR is a glue-down floor installed by a flooring professional, with seams heat-welded. Installation supplies are sold only with an Eternal flooring order and are included in your quote.

• Adhesive: Forbo V 885, Forbo Sustain 1195 or Forbo 660, as listed for Eternal Step SR on Forbo's US website. Your installer selects the adhesive based on the subfloor and job conditions.
• Seams: Heat welded with Eternal Step SR welding rod (4 mm, 165 linear ft per spool), as required by Forbo's data sheet
• Care: A neutral pH cleaner (solution pH 6.0 to 8.0) for routine cleaning. Forbo's Caring for Forbo Eternal Step guide says not to use mop-on restorer or floor finish, because they can reduce slip resistance

Forbo's installation guidelines point out that the carborundum chips in Eternal Step SR shorten knife blade life, so installers should plan on extra blades. Use Eternal Step SR where contamination is frequent, such as commercial kitchens and food prep, and Eternal Step Original (R10) in the adjoining corridors and dining areas.
