Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal Panel - Black Glacier 12" x 36"

Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal Black Glacier — 12" x 36" Click Linoleum Panel

Black Glacier is a Striato design in Forbo's Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal line, a glue-free 12" x 36" linoleum click panel with a waterproof HDF core and cork backing. Forbo lists the Striato colours as available only in the 12" x 36" panel, so you will not find Black Glacier as a square. It is the darkest-sounding of the four Striato panels we stock.

Best for: modern kitchens, media rooms, entryways and retail-style spaces at home.

The Look

Black Glacier belongs to the Striato group in Forbo's colour list, and its name points to a deep, dark tone with an icy edge. A dark floor makes a dramatic base for light walls and cabinetry. Ask us for a sample so you can see the Striato surface in person.

Why Choose Black Glacier

• Panel-only design: Forbo offers the Striato colours only in 12" x 36".
• Glue-free floating floor: Välinge 5G click joints.
• Heavy-duty rating: Class 33 commercial, suitable for main-street commercial use per Forbo.
• Natural linoleum surface: linseed oil, pine rosin and wood flour.
• Cork backing: less hollow sound than many click floors.

Installation

Acclimate the cartons for 48 hours in the room, with the space already held near 75°F and 50% relative humidity for a week beforehand. Over concrete use QuietWalk Versa or an equivalent vapor barrier, and keep the subfloor flat to 3/32" over 6 feet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Black Glacier available as a 12" x 12" square? No. Forbo lists Black Glacier as a Striato colour, and Striato colours come only as 12" x 36" panels.

Will a dark floor show dust? Dark floors can show dust more than mid tones, but Forbo describes Cinch Loc Seal as anti-static, so a quick dry mop removes it easily.

Can Black Glacier go in a small business or shop? Yes. Forbo rates the range Class 33 and suitable for main-street commercial use. Call us for a quantity quote.

Do I need an underlayment? Over concrete or radiant heat Forbo requires a vapor barrier such as QuietWalk Versa underlayment. The cork backing is already attached to each panel.
