Desert Sand is a neutral Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal panel, a 12" by 36" linoleum plank that floats over the subfloor and locks without adhesive. Forbo builds it from a natural Marmoleum wear layer, a waterproof HDF core and cork on the back. Its sandy tone makes it an easy whole-house floor.

Installation

For long runs, remember Forbo's 40 foot rule: rooms longer or wider than that need an expansion joint, and doorways between rooms need one too. Keep the subfloor within 3/32" over 6 feet and acclimate for 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Desert Sand run through my whole first floor? Yes, but Forbo requires expansion joints in doorways and in any area over 40 feet in either direction. T-moldings cover the joints neatly.
