Dark Bistre is a deep-toned Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal square, a 12" x 12" floating linoleum tile made by Forbo. Bistre is the traditional brown pigment artists made from wood soot, and this colour brings that dark, grounded mood to a click floor that installs without glue.

Installation

Lay Dark Bistre as a floating floor over a clean, dry, sound subfloor that is flat within 3/32" over 6 feet. For a checkerboard, dry-lay a few rows first to center the pattern in the room. Leave a 3/8" expansion space at every wall and fixed object, and skip stairs, which Forbo does not recommend.
