Surprising Storm is a Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal floor square in a moody, storm-inspired colour, sized 12" x 12" with a glueless click edge. It gives contemporary rooms depth without going fully dark.

Best for: contemporary living rooms, home offices, bedrooms and stylish laundry rooms.

The Look

The name conjures a storm sky, pointing to a moody, atmospheric colour. It suits contemporary schemes with crisp whites and natural wood. There is no written colour description from Forbo for this square, and linoleum varies slightly lot to lot, so a sample is essential.

Why Choose Surprising Storm

• Atmospheric tone: adds depth to modern rooms.
• Quiet floor: Forbo cites up to 21 dB sound reduction over its foam underlay.
• Natural build: linseed oil-based linoleum on an HDF core with cork underneath.
• Office-friendly: anti-static, so dust does not cling.

Installation

Surprising Storm squares lock along all edges with the Välinge 5G system. Forbo requires acclimation of flooring and underlayment for 48 hours, a subfloor flat to 3/32" in 6 feet, and an expansion joint in any span past 40 feet. Use a vapor barrier over concrete or heated subfloors.
