Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal Square - Caribbean 12" x 12"

Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal Caribbean — 12" x 12" Click Square

Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal Caribbean Square is a 12" x 12" click linoleum tile in a pale sand tone, ideal for grids, checkerboards and small spaces. Each square snaps to its neighbors with no glue and floats on a cork-backed Seal core. It is the square-format twin of our Caribbean panel and uses the same Forbo color.

Best for: Bathrooms, beach-cottage entries, kids' rooms and two-color checkerboards with Blue or Lemon Zest.

The Look

With an LRV of 55% and an NCS value of S 1515-Y20R, Caribbean is a soft, warm beige. In a square grid it gives a gentle, relaxed tile look, and it makes an easy-going light half of a checkerboard because it contrasts with deeper colors without being stark.

Why Choose Caribbean Squares?

• Light square format that makes a compact room look larger
• Natural partner for Forbo's Blue in a coastal checkerboard
• Linseed-oil based surface that Forbo describes as antimicrobial and anti-static
• Topshield pro factory finish, which Forbo says should not be removed

Installation

Squares lock together with a Välinge 5G edge and float freely, and Forbo says they can go down one tile at a time, which helps when you are following a pattern. A vapor barrier is required over concrete and radiant heat per the product data. Take time to flatten any subfloor variation of 2 mm or more first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make a blue and beige checkerboard? Yes. Forbo photographs Caribbean together with Blue in Cinch Loc Seal, and both colors come in 12" x 12" squares, so alternating them is straightforward.

How many Caribbean squares are in a carton? Seven squares, covering 6.78 sq ft, at about 14 lbs per carton. Square orders have a 15 carton minimum and a full pallet is 96 cartons.

Will Caribbean look different when first installed? New linoleum can show ambering, a temporary color cast. Read our What is Ambering PDF, linked above, before you install.

Are squares harder to install than panels? Not really. They use the same click system, there are simply more joints. Many people find squares easier in small rooms because there is less cutting around fixtures.
