Marmoleum MCS Composition Commercial Linoleum Sheet Flooring by Forbo

Marmoleum MCS (Marmoleum Composition Sheet) is a 2.0 mm linoleum sheet on jute backing, a thinner and more budget-friendly way to get a genuine Marmoleum floor. Its palette is a curated selection of marbled and concrete-look colors drawn from Forbo's Real, Fresco and Concrete ranges. It is made mostly from natural raw materials such as linseed oil, wood flour, jute and limestone, and carries Forbo's double UV-cured Topshield finish for easy everyday care.

Best for: Budget-conscious commercial projects, schools, offices, multifamily common areas, retail and renovation work where a natural, low-emission linoleum floor is wanted at a lower cost.

How Sheet Linoleum Is Sold

Marmoleum MCS is a 2.0 mm (0.08") sheet on jute backing, in rolls about 79" (2 m) wide and up to 105 ft long. It is cut to the length your project needs and quoted by the square yard. The factory edge is not seam quality, so installers trim at least 1" from each edge at seams. Give us your room dimensions and we will help you plan roll cuts and quantities.

Because sheet is cut to your order, cut sheet goods are not returnable. Please confirm colors with samples and measurements with your installer before ordering.

Installation and Supplies

Marmoleum MCS is a glue-down sheet floor installed by a flooring professional following Forbo's Marmoleum sheet installation guide. Installation supplies are sold only with a Marmoleum flooring order and are included in your quote.

• Adhesive: Forbo Sustain 1195, Sustain 100 or Forbo 660, as listed on Forbo's US website and in the MCS technical data sheet. Your installer selects the adhesive based on the subfloor and job conditions.

What is the difference between Marmoleum and vinyl? Marmoleum is linoleum, made mainly from linseed oil, wood flour, jute and limestone. Vinyl is a PVC plastic. Marmoleum is PVC-free.

What is the difference between Marmoleum MCS and standard Marmoleum sheet? MCS is 2.0 mm thick, while most Marmoleum sheet collections are 2.5 mm. It uses the same linoleum recipe, jute backing and Topshield finish, in a smaller selection of colors, at a lower cost.

How is Marmoleum sheet priced? Sheet linoleum is cut to length and quoted by the square yard. Call 1-888-976-8166 with your square footage for a project quote. The minimum order is 250 sq ft.

Can I return Marmoleum sheet? No. Sheet is cut to the length you order, so cut sheet goods are not returnable. Order free samples first to confirm your colors.

Specifier Tips

MCS is a good fit when a project budget rules out thicker Marmoleum sheet but the spec still calls for linoleum. MCS is thinner than 2.5 mm Marmoleum sheet, so review transitions with your installer wherever it meets other floors. Mid-tone marbled colors such as Serene Grey, Bleeckerstreet or Eiger are the most forgiving choices for corridors and classrooms.
