Marmoleum Piano Commercial Linoleum Sheet Flooring by Forbo

Marmoleum Piano is a quiet, tone-on-tone linoleum sheet. A fine scatter of slightly lighter and darker specks gives each color depth up close, while from across the room it reads as a calm, nearly solid floor. It has a touch more texture than a plain solid but none of the movement of the marbled lines. Like every Marmoleum sheet, it is made mostly from natural, renewable raw materials such as linseed oil, wood flour, jute and limestone, and its double UV-cured Topshield finish means it is ready for traffic right after installation and easy to keep clean.

Best for: Offices, schools and universities, healthcare and senior living, libraries and any interior that wants an understated, uniform floor that still hides everyday wear.

Colors

Marmoleum Piano comes in 10 colors, from soft greys and warm neutrals to gentle blues and greens:

  • Greys and neutrals: Polar Bear 3650, Frosty Grey 3629, Angora 3630, Warm Grey 3601, Otter 3631, Grey Dusk 3607

Why Choose Marmoleum Piano

  • Fine tone-on-tone speckle that looks calm and nearly solid from a distance
  • Subtle texture that helps hide soil better than a plain solid color
  • Made mostly from natural, renewable materials and 100% USDA Certified BioBased
  • Topshield double UV-cured finish for easy cleaning and lower maintenance
  • Class 1 fire rating (ASTM E648) for commercial interiors
  • Limited 30-year commercial warranty

How Sheet Linoleum Is Sold

Marmoleum Piano is a 2.5 mm (1/10") sheet in rolls about 79" (2 m) wide and up to 105 ft long. It is cut to the length your project needs and quoted by the square yard. The factory edge is not seam quality, so installers trim at least 1" from each edge at seams. Give us your room dimensions and we will help you plan roll cuts and quantities.

Because sheet is cut to your order, cut sheet goods are not returnable. Please confirm colors with samples and measurements with your installer before ordering.

Installation and Supplies

Marmoleum sheet is a glue-down floor installed by a flooring professional, with seams heat-welded. Installation supplies are sold only with a Marmoleum flooring order and are included in your quote.

  • Adhesive: Forbo Sustain 1195, Sustain 100 or Forbo 660, as listed in Forbo's Marmoleum sheet installation guide. Your installer selects the adhesive based on the subfloor and job conditions.
  • Seams: Marmoweld color-matched welding rod
  • Care: Forbo Neutral pH Cleaner for routine maintenance

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Marmoleum and vinyl? Marmoleum is linoleum, made mainly from linseed oil, wood flour, jute and limestone. Vinyl is a PVC plastic. Marmoleum is PVC-free and 100% USDA Certified BioBased.

What is the difference between Marmoleum Piano and Marmoleum Concrete? Both are solid-look Marmoleum sheet. Piano has a fine, even speckle in two close tones, while Concrete has a cloudier, mottled surface that imitates poured concrete.

How is Marmoleum sheet priced? Sheet linoleum is cut to length and quoted by the square yard. Call 1-888-976-8166 with your square footage for a project quote. The minimum order is 250 sq ft.

Can I return Marmoleum sheet? No. Sheet is cut to the length you order, so cut sheet goods are not returnable. Order free samples first to confirm your colors.

Is Marmoleum Piano good for schools and healthcare? Yes. It is rated for very heavy commercial use, has a Class 1 fire rating, and its Topshield finish is easy to clean, which makes it a good fit for classrooms, corridors and patient rooms.

Can I order samples? Yes. Request free samples to see the colors in person before you order.

Specifier Tips

Marmoleum Piano shares its thickness and roll width with Concrete, Real, Fresco, Striato and the other Marmoleum sheet collections, so it can be combined with them in borders, inlays and wayfinding paths. Its calm surface makes it a good field color: use Warm Grey or Angora across a large area, then add bands of Neptune Blue or Nettle Green to mark zones or lead people to entrances.
