Marmoleum Walton Commercial Linoleum Sheet Flooring by Forbo

Marmoleum Walton is the plain, single-color member of Forbo's solid linoleum family. There is no marble or grain, just one even, saturated color across the whole floor, which gives rooms a calm, architectural look and makes Walton a natural choice for color blocking and graphic layouts. Like all Marmoleum, it is made mostly from natural raw materials such as linseed oil, wood flour, jute and limestone, and it arrives with Forbo's double UV-cured Topshield finish so it is ready for traffic once installed.

Best for: Schools and early-learning spaces, healthcare and senior living, offices, retail, museums and any interior that wants clean blocks of solid color, borders or wayfinding.

Marmoleum Walton comes in 16 solid colors, from cool greys to deep greens, blues and reds:

How Sheet Linoleum Is Sold

Marmoleum Walton is a 2.5 mm (1/10") sheet on jute backing, in rolls about 79" (2 m) wide and up to 105 ft long. It is cut to the length your project needs and quoted by the square yard. The factory edge is not seam quality, so installers trim at least 1" from each edge at seams. Give us your room dimensions and we will help you plan roll cuts and quantities.

Because sheet is cut to your order, cut sheet goods are not returnable. Please confirm colors with samples and measurements with your installer before ordering.

Installation and Supplies

Marmoleum Walton is a glue-down sheet floor installed by a flooring professional following Forbo's Marmoleum sheet installation guide. Installation supplies are sold only with a Marmoleum flooring order and are included in your quote.

  • Adhesive: Forbo Sustain 1195, Sustain 100 or Forbo 660, as listed in Forbo's Marmoleum Walton technical data sheet. Your installer selects the adhesive based on the subfloor and job conditions.
  • Seams: Marmoweld color-matched welding rod
  • Care: Forbo Neutral pH Cleaner for routine maintenance

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Marmoleum and vinyl? Marmoleum is linoleum, made mainly from linseed oil, wood flour, jute and limestone. Vinyl is a PVC plastic. Marmoleum is PVC-free.

How is Marmoleum Walton different from other Marmoleum sheet? Most Marmoleum sheet collections have a marbled, linear or textured pattern. Walton is a solid color with no visible pattern, so it reads as one flat, even color.

How is Marmoleum sheet priced? Sheet linoleum is cut to length and quoted by the square yard. Call 1-888-976-8166 with your square footage for a project quote. The minimum order is 250 sq ft.

Can I return Marmoleum sheet? No. Sheet is cut to the length you order, so cut sheet goods are not returnable. Order free samples first to confirm your colors.

Can Walton be combined with other Marmoleum colors? Yes. Walton is the same 2.5 mm thickness and roll width as the other 2.5 mm Marmoleum sheet collections, so colors can be cut together for borders, inlays and wayfinding.

Can I order samples? Yes. Request free samples to see the colors in person before you order.

Specifier Tips

Because Walton has no pattern, seams and cut lines are part of the design, so plan layouts with your installer before ordering. Use a quiet neutral such as Cement or Grey Adobe as the field color, then bring in Bottle Green, Vintage Blue or Berlin Red for borders, zones or wayfinding paths. As with any Marmoleum floor, good entrance matting at doors helps protect the finish in heavy-traffic entries.
