Philadelphia Commercial Common Place PC 7x48 Wood-Look Commercial Luxury Vinyl Plank

Philadelphia Commercial Common Place PC (style #5690V) is a commercial luxury vinyl plank in a 7" x 48" size, with a relaxed, everyday wood visual and a high performance construction. Its short six-color range keeps selection simple: two warm browns, a charcoal and three light naturals. Common Place PC gives installers three approved options, direct glue, perimeter glue or loose lay, so one product can cover rooms with very different needs, and it carries Shaw's ExoGuard finish. It is a sibling to the Commonplace style 5M507 on our site, which uses the same color names.

Best for: Open offices, hotel corridors and breakfast areas, multifamily kitchens and clubrooms, student housing, small retail and co-working spaces.

Colors

• Cinnamon 00836: a reddish mid brown with a spiced, cherry-like warmth.
• Peppercorn 00939: a neutral charcoal gray, the one cool option in the line.
• Vanilla 01175: a light creamy beige for bright, airy rooms.
• Sea Salt 01176: a sandy greige with a soft blush undertone.
• Ginger 02093: a pale honey tan that warms up white walls.
• Cocoa 07308: a medium mocha brown that hides everyday dust.

The palette is small and balanced: three light naturals (Vanilla, Sea Salt, Ginger), two browns and Peppercorn as a gray. Get free samples and view them under your own lighting.

Installation Methods

Three methods are approved for Common Place PC: full-spread direct glue, perimeter glue and loose lay. Direct glue fully bonds every plank and is the usual choice where rolling loads or heavy traffic are expected. With perimeter glue, adhesive goes only around the walls and at doorways, reducing adhesive and labor while keeping the floor anchored. Loose lay relies on the plank's weight and friction with little or no adhesive, so tiles can be lifted for access or replaced quickly, which suits tenant spaces that change often. Subfloor preparation and moisture testing should follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Specifier Tips

In a multifamily building, glue Cocoa or Cinnamon down in lobbies and mailrooms where carts roll, then loose lay Ginger or Vanilla in amenity rooms that may be reconfigured. Peppercorn makes a clean threshold color where Common Place PC meets carpet tile in a corridor. Keep one color per area so planks from different install methods still read as a single floor.
