Philadelphia Commercial Cross Cut 9x63 Marble-Look Commercial Luxury Vinyl Tile

Philadelphia Commercial Cross Cut (style #5655V) is a 9" x 63" commercial luxury vinyl tile with the dramatic veining of polished marble. The long, narrow format is larger than most stone-look vinyl, so veins run across fewer joints and a floor reads more like slab stone than small tiles. Cross Cut is a heavy commercial luxury vinyl tile with fiberglass reinforcement and an ExoGuard finish, and it is approved for floating, direct glue or perimeter glue installation. Seven colors run from soft white-gray marble to near-black onyx and a dark brown Emperador.

Best for: Corporate lobbies, hotel reception and elevator halls, retail showrooms, restaurant dining rooms, bank branches and executive office suites.

Colors

  • Statuary 00100: a light warm gray-white, the classic statuary marble tone.
  • Crema 00102: a creamy beige-taupe with soft, warm veining.
  • Lapicida 00400: a cool charcoal with a faint violet cast.
  • Neolith 00500: a medium stone gray, neutral and modern.
  • Tourmaline 00504: a dark warm gray with a smoky brown undertone.
  • Onyx 00505: a deep near-black charcoal for high-contrast floors.
  • Emperador 00703: a dark chocolate brown inspired by Emperador marble.

Statuary and Crema are the light, traditional marbles; Neolith and Tourmaline are mid-to-dark grays; Lapicida, Onyx and Emperador supply depth. Request free samples to see the veining in person.

Why Choose Cross Cut 9x63

  • Large 9" x 63" format that shows long marble veins with fewer joints
  • Heavy commercial luxury vinyl tile with fiberglass
  • Approved for floating, direct glue and perimeter glue installation
  • ExoGuard finish for easier maintenance than natural stone
  • Seven colors from statuary white to Emperador brown

Installation Methods

Cross Cut is approved for floating, direct glue and perimeter glue. A floating installation lays the tiles over the subfloor without full adhesive, which can shorten downtime in occupied retail or office spaces. Direct glue fully adheres each tile and is preferred under rolling loads, heavy carts and in large open lobbies. Perimeter glue anchors the edges and doorways only, a middle ground for smaller rooms. Whichever method you choose, subfloor flatness and moisture testing should follow the manufacturer's installation requirements on the spec sheet, which matters even more with long 63" pieces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Cross Cut look like real marble? Philadelphia Commercial Cross Cut reproduces the dramatic veining of polished marble on a 9x63 luxury vinyl tile, giving a high-end stone look without the sealing and polishing natural marble needs.

Why choose a 9x63 vinyl tile over 12x24 or 24x24? A long 9x63 format like Cross Cut lets veining run farther before a joint interrupts it, creating a linear, slab-like look, while square formats read more like conventional tile. The narrow width also suits corridors and directional layouts.

Can Cross Cut be floated instead of glued? Yes. Cross Cut 5655V is approved for floating installation as well as direct glue and perimeter glue. Direct glue is the safer choice where heavy rolling loads are expected.

Is Cross Cut vinyl suitable for a hotel lobby? Cross Cut is designed for lobbies, retail and corporate spaces, and as heavy commercial luxury vinyl tile with fiberglass and an ExoGuard finish it handles busy hospitality foot traffic with easy routine cleaning.

Is Cross Cut easier to maintain than natural marble? Generally, yes. Cross Cut is a vinyl tile with an ExoGuard finish, so it does not need the sealing, honing or polishing that natural marble floors require, and the vinyl surface resists water during routine cleaning.

Specifier Tips

Lay Cross Cut lengthwise along the main sightline of a lobby so the veining leads visitors toward reception. Statuary or Crema brighten windowless elevator halls; Onyx or Emperador create a formal, gallery-like floor in retail and hospitality. Shuffle tiles from several cartons during installation so vein patterns do not repeat side by side, and specify direct glue at revolving doors and loading routes even if the rest of the space is floated.
