Philadelphia Commercial Interfuse 18x36 Patterned Rectangular Commercial Carpet Tile

Philadelphia Commercial Interfuse, style #54979, is an 18" by 36" patterned commercial carpet tile whose 18 color names are shared with two sister styles, Interlace and Intermingle. Interfuse is spun from Eco Solution Q nylon at 100% and produced in the USA, and the rectangular tile is approved for eight installation methods, which makes it one of the more flexible formats for planning corporate floors. Its palette leans heavily toward grays and warm taupes, with a handful of brown and rosy shades, so Interfuse can serve as a neutral backbone while its siblings carry the same colors into adjoining areas.

Best for: Corporate headquarters, open offices, call centers, government buildings, higher-education offices and conference centers.

Installation Methods

All eight of Philadelphia Commercial's rectangular-tile methods apply to Interfuse. In open offices, monolithic or stagger keeps the floor quiet and continuous, and ashlar or brick adds a gentle offset; boxed-in, basketweave and half basketweave group the rectangles into blocks that can define meeting areas; herringbone adds direction at entries. Installation details are listed on the Interfuse spec sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which styles share colors with Interfuse? Interfuse shares its 18 color names, from Indulge to Regalia, with Interlace and Intermingle, two other 18x36 Philadelphia Commercial carpet tiles. That makes it easy to switch styles between zones while keeping one color.

How many colors does Interfuse come in? Interfuse is offered in 18 colors, most of them grays and warm taupes, plus browns such as Fuse and Unity and a dusty rose-brown called Regalia.

Is Interfuse good for a large open office? Yes. Interfuse's neutral-heavy palette and 18x36 format suit large floor plates; a monolithic or stagger layout in a mid gray such as Polish keeps a big space calm and uniform.

What fiber is used in Interfuse? Interfuse is spun from Eco Solution Q nylon, the only fiber in the tile, and Philadelphia Commercial produces it in the USA.

Specifier Tips

Use Interfuse as the field and bring in Interlace or Intermingle in the same color name to mark collaboration zones or corridors. A three-step scheme such as Repose in offices, Deluxe on main paths and Grandeur at elevator lobbies gives clear wayfinding from one palette.
