Philadelphia Commercial Novelty 24x24 Patterned Pivotal Fiber Commercial Carpet Tile

Philadelphia Commercial Novelty, style #54965, is a patterned 24x24 commercial carpet tile made with 100% Pivotal fiber and produced in the USA; the backing is listed as performance backing. Novelty offers a short list of six dark, earthy colors that make it easy to standardize. The square format is approved for five layouts, so a single color can look quite different from room to room depending on how crews turn the tiles. It is a practical, compact choice for corridors, offices and meeting spaces.

Best for: Corporate offices, corridors, meeting and training rooms, property management common areas and value-focused tenant fit-outs.

Colors

• Ingenious 65505: mid-dark taupe gray, the lightest in this compact palette.
• Inventive 65515: deep charcoal with a neutral cast.
• Resolve 65525: dark cocoa greige with brown warmth.
• Vigor 65530: a slightly lighter iron gray than Inventive.
• Original 65700: warm chestnut-brown taupe for inviting rooms.
• Opus 65720: espresso brown, the darkest warm tone.

The set splits evenly into three grays (Ingenious, Inventive, Vigor) and three browns (Resolve, Original, Opus). Request free samples to see the pattern in person.

Why Choose Novelty 24x24

• Pivotal fiber at 100% of the face, with performance-type backing
• Patterned surface in six dark, soil-hiding colors
• Approved for five installation methods
• Compact palette suits portfolio and multi-site standards
• Domestic manufacture (USA)

Installation Methods

Novelty is approved for Random, Ashlar, Quarter Turn, Monolithic and Brick installation. Since Novelty is patterned, monolithic installation shows the design in its intended direction, while quarter turn rotates each tile and creates a more geometric, alternating effect. Random installation scatters the pattern and does the best job of hiding seams and replacement tiles. Ashlar and brick offsets give corridors a slight linear flow. Check the installation guide for details.

Specifier Tips

Use Inventive or Vigor in corridors and switch to Original in private offices for a warmer feel, keeping both in a monolithic layout so the pattern direction stays consistent. Quarter turn in Ingenious gives a training room a little more texture. Pair Opus with dark wood-look luxury vinyl at break rooms for a clean transition.
