Philadelphia Commercial Philosopher's Tree 9x63 Minimalist Wood-Look Commercial Luxury Vinyl Plank

Philadelphia Commercial Philosopher's Tree (style #5599V) is a 9" x 63" commercial luxury vinyl plank that blends minimalism with a clean wood look, offered in three visuals and designed to sit comfortably beside other materials. The extra-long, wide plank (8.97" x 62.99") means fewer end joints and a calmer floor. Its heavy commercial construction is reinforced with fiberglass, giving installers a choice of full glue, perimeter glue or loose lay, while the ExoGuard+® finish helps it stand up to busy offices, retail and hospitality spaces. Eight colors range from pale Pebble to near-black Igneous.

Best for: Corporate offices, design studios, galleries, boutique retail, hotel lobbies and restaurants that favor a quiet, modern wood floor.

Colors

• Pebble 00106: a pale warm greige with a soft, Scandinavian feel.
• Weathered Bark 00107: a light-to-mid gray-beige with a gently weathered look.
• Canyon 00108: warm tan-brown with a natural, sunlit character.
• Graphite Steel 00505: a cool steel gray that suits glass and metal interiors.
• Igneous 00510: a near-black charcoal for dramatic, high-contrast spaces.
• Fog 00513: a soft mid gray that keeps a room neutral and calm.
• Burnished Timbe 00709: a deep espresso brown with a burnished feel.
• Agate 00715: a reddish-brown with the warmth of polished stone.

The eight colors split into light neutrals, cool grays and dark browns, which makes it easy to coordinate with stone, concrete or carpet tile. Sample the plank beside your other finishes.

Why Choose Philosopher's Tree

• Extra-long 9" x 63" plank for fewer end joints
• Minimal, clean wood look in three visuals
• Heavy commercial construction with fiberglass reinforcement
• Three install options: full glue, edge (perimeter) glue or loose lay
• ExoGuard+® finish for high-traffic durability

Installation Methods

Shaw approves Philosopher's Tree for full-spread direct glue, perimeter glue and loose lay. Full spread suits heavy traffic and rolling loads. Perimeter glue holds the floor at the room edges while leaving the field unadhered. With loose lay, the plank's weight and fiberglass layer keep it in place with no adhesive at all, which can make future access to the subfloor or replacement simpler in suitable areas. Whichever method you choose, test moisture and prepare the subfloor to Shaw's instructions; see the spec sheet.

Specifier Tips

The long plank shows best when it runs down the length of a corridor or toward the main window wall. Pair Pebble or Fog with light concrete-look surfaces for a gallery feel, or use Igneous and Burnished Timbe in executive suites with warm lighting. Because Philosopher's Tree is built for mixed materials, it can border carpet tile in open offices where a hard surface is needed at circulation paths.
