Philadelphia Commercial Stellar 9x36 Narrow Plank Commercial Carpet Tile

Philadelphia Commercial Stellar (style #54902) is a slim 9x36 narrow-plank commercial carpet tile, produced domestically with an Eco Solution Q® nylon face and a performance backing underneath. The narrow format produces a linear, modern look, and at 9 inches wide it creates finer herringbone and stagger patterns than wider planks. Stellar pairs with the Visionary style and comes in 12 colors with imaginative names like Moony, Quixotic and Cutting Edge, including a deep teal, a petrol blue, a cinnamon and a burgundy-brown in addition to grays and taupes.

Best for: Contemporary offices, corridors, collaborative spaces, hotel public areas, retail back-of-house offices and design studios.

Why Choose Stellar 9x36

• Slim 9x36 plank for fine-scale linear patterns
• Performance backing beneath an Eco Solution Q® nylon face
• Coordinates with Visionary
• Six approved layouts, including Herringbone and Offset
• Made in the USA
• 12 colors with teal, petrol blue, cinnamon and burgundy accents

Installation Methods

Stellar is approved for Herringbone, Ashlar, Brick, Offset, Stagger and Monolithic. The 9-inch width makes Herringbone tight and detailed, a good choice for lobbies and focal areas. Ashlar, Brick, Offset and Stagger shift each row for a hardwood-strip feel, and Monolithic gives long uninterrupted lines that elongate corridors. Frequently Asked Questions

What size is Stellar carpet tile? Stellar is a 9 x 36 inch narrow-plank carpet tile from Philadelphia Commercial, slimmer than typical 12x48 or 18x36 carpet planks.

Why choose a 9x36 carpet plank? A narrow 9x36 plank like Stellar creates finer, more detailed herringbone and offset patterns, giving a floor a tailored, hardwood-strip rhythm that wider tiles cannot match.

What does Stellar coordinate with? Stellar pairs with Visionary, an 18x36 Philadelphia Commercial carpet tile, so designers can combine a narrow plank with a wider format.

Does Stellar come in blue or green? Yes. New Age 00400 is a dark petrol blue and Musing 00300 is a deep teal-green, two of the 12 Stellar colors.

Is Stellar made in the USA? Yes. Stellar is a domestic product; Philadelphia Commercial lists it as Made in USA, with Eco Solution Q nylon as the only face fiber.

Specifier Tips

Lay Stellar in Herringbone at an entry or reception in a bold color like New Age or Musing, then step down to Abstract or Moony in a Stagger layout through open office. Pair it with Visionary in a matching tone to combine narrow and wide formats in one plan. Narrow planks take more pieces per square foot, so allow extra labor time in the schedule.
