Shaw Beachfront 7x22 Coastal Driftwood-Look Ceramic Tile

Shaw Beachfront (style 388TS) is a nominal 7" x 22" glazed ceramic floor plank with a coastal, weathered wood look, offered in two driftwood-inspired colors, Crest and Vista. It sits between rustic and clean styles: the grain pattern is tidy, while the textured finish gives the surface a sun-bleached, boardwalk feel. Moderate (V2) shade variation keeps the floor relaxed but cohesive, and the compact plank size works well in beach-house baths, entries and laundry rooms.

Best for: Coastal entries, bathrooms, laundry rooms, enclosed sunrooms, kitchens and shower walls.

Colors

  • Crest 00100: light weathered beige-gray, like dry sand on old boards.
  • Vista 00500: a cooler driftwood gray with a sea-worn surface tone.

Why Choose Beachfront 7x22

  • Textured finish for a sea-worn wood feel underfoot
  • Wet DCOF of 0.42 or higher for areas near sinks, tubs and doors
  • Moderate (V2) shade variation
  • Glaze hardness of 6 and break strength of 250 lbf or more
  • Plank size that is easy to carry, cut and lay
  • 18.19 sq ft per box

Where to Install

As a Floor-rated ceramic, Beachfront can be installed on interior floors and walls. It suits beach houses and lake cottages from the front door to the bath, including mudrooms where sandy feet come in. Shaw gives no frost rating, so keep it inside: an enclosed, heated sunroom is fine, an open deck or patio is not.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Shaw Beachfront a gray or beige tile? Shaw Beachfront offers one of each direction: Crest 00100 is a light weathered beige-gray, and Vista 00500 is a cooler driftwood gray.

Is Beachfront good for a beach house entry? Shaw Beachfront is a good interior entry tile for a beach house because its glazed ceramic surface stands up to sand and moisture and its textured finish carries a wet DCOF of 0.42 or higher.

Can Shaw Beachfront tile be used on a shower floor? Shaw Beachfront 7x22 planks are better suited to shower walls; shower floors slope toward the drain in several directions, which small tiles or mosaics follow more easily than planks.

How do I clean textured wood-look tile? Sweep or vacuum Shaw Beachfront to lift grit from the texture, then damp-mop with a pH-neutral tile cleaner and skip oily soaps that can leave a film.

What grout color matches driftwood-look tile? Shaw Beachfront Vista pairs with a light or medium gray grout, while Crest looks most natural with a sandy beige or warm gray joint.
