Shaw Cosmos 8x8 Patterned Decorative Porcelain Tile

Shaw Cosmos 8x8 (style 438TS) is a 7.84" x 7.84" (nominal 8" x 8") matte glazed porcelain accent tile with a decorative floral and geometric line pattern on a white background. Each colorway changes only the line color, from gold and green-gold to navy, gray and black, so you can match the pattern to fixtures or paint while keeping a crisp white ground. Low (V1) shade variation keeps the design consistent from tile to tile, which matters when the pattern is meant to repeat cleanly across a backsplash or feature area.

Best for: Kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, laundry rooms, feature walls and entry accents.

Frequently Asked Questions

What colors does Shaw Cosmos come in? Shaw Cosmos 8x8 comes in five line colors on white: Apollo (gold), Peridot (green-gold), Aegean (navy/blue), Gibbous (gray) and Nightfall (black).

Is patterned porcelain good for a backsplash? Yes. Shaw Cosmos 8x8 is impervious glazed porcelain with a matte face that wipes clean, so it works well behind sinks and ranges.

What grout color works with patterned white tile? With Shaw Cosmos 8x8, a white grout lets the line pattern flow from tile to tile, while a gray grout outlines each square and makes the grid more visible.

Can Cosmos be combined with plain tile? Shaw Cosmos 8x8 works well as a patterned field framed by plain white or solid tile, for example as a band across a backsplash or a defined panel in a laundry room.

What does Low (V1) shade variation mean for Cosmos? Shaw Cosmos 8x8 has Low (V1) shade variation, meaning the tiles are very consistent in color, so the pattern repeats cleanly across the installation.
