Shaw Domino 12x24 Polished Solid Color Porcelain Tile

Shaw Domino 12x24 (style 704TS) is a solid-color polished glazed porcelain tile measuring 23.62" x 11.65", nominal 12" x 24", available in bright White and deep Black. With low (V1) shade variation, every piece is consistent, which suits clean modern design, graphic two-color layouts and anyone who wants pure color rather than a printed stone or wood. The 12x24 rectangle works in running bond, vertical stack or herringbone. At 0.394" thick it is a substantial tile for floors and walls, and it is frost resistant.

Best for: modern bathroom walls and floors, striped or herringbone floors, kitchen backsplashes, fireplace surrounds and feature walls.

Colors

• White 00100: a bright, clean white with a high-gloss polish that makes rooms feel larger.
• Black 00900: a deep, uniform black that reads like lacquer when polished.

Why Choose Domino 12x24

• Solid color with low (V1) shade variation for a consistent look
• Polished, reflective finish
• 0.394" thickness
• Frost resistant; Wet DCOF of ≥ 0.42
• Impervious porcelain with ≤ 0.50% water absorption
• White and Black pair for striped and patterned layouts

Where to Install

Shaw rates Domino 12x24 for floors, and it goes up on walls just as easily. Use it on bathroom walls and floors, kitchen backsplashes, fireplace surrounds and hallways, or alternate White and Black for a striped floor. Shaw rates it frost resistant, so covered exterior areas are an option as well, though a matte tile is more practical on open outdoor floors that get wet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make a checkerboard floor with Domino 12x24? With rectangles you get a stretched check or a striped pattern rather than a true checkerboard. For square checks, use the Domino 24x24 in White and Black; Domino 12x24 is better suited to stripes, herringbone or running bond.

Does black polished tile show dust? Yes. Polished Black Domino 12x24 shows dust, footprints and water spots more than lighter colors, so regular dust-mopping and a pH-neutral cleaner keep the gloss clear.

What grout should I use with Domino White? For Domino 12x24 in White, a bright white grout gives a seamless look, while a black or charcoal grout creates a bold grid. Seal cement grout so it stays clean.

Is Domino 12x24 consistent in color? Yes. Domino 12x24 has low (V1) shade variation, so tiles look nearly identical from piece to piece.

Is polished Domino 12x24 slippery in a bathroom? Water on a polished surface always makes it feel slicker, although Domino 12x24 is published at a wet DCOF of 0.42 or more. Bath mats help on floors, and the tile is an easy choice for bathroom walls.

Design Pairing Guide

Domino White pairs with natural oak, matte black hardware and green plants for a clean modern room, or with navy cabinets and brass. Domino Black looks sharp with white cabinetry, marble-look counters and gold or chrome fixtures, and in alternating stripes with White it creates a classic black-and-white bathroom.
