Shaw Overland 8x48 Wood-Look Porcelain Tile

Overland 8x48 is a long, wide-plank porcelain tile that looks like natural oak floorboards: soft cathedral grain, gentle knots, and a matte, low-sheen surface that feels like real wood underfoot rather than glossy tile. At nearly 8" x 48" per plank, it gives you the expansive look of wide-plank hardwood with fewer grout joints, while the porcelain body shrugs off water, pet accidents, and scratches. It is frost resistant, so the same floor can run from the kitchen out to a covered patio.

Colors

• Haystack 00104: a light, natural oak with pale straw tones, ideal for bright Scandinavian and coastal rooms.
• Savanna 00202: a warm honey-amber oak with golden highlights, classic and inviting.
• Homestead 00703: a medium brown oak with balanced warm and cool tones that hides everyday dirt well.
• Outpost 00902: a deep smoky gray-brown with a weathered, rustic character.

Why Choose Overland 8x48

• Wide 8" x 48" planks for a spacious, high-end hardwood look with fewer seams
• Glazed porcelain with 0.5% or less water absorption: will not warp, cup, or swell
• Wet DCOF of 0.42 or higher for kitchens, baths, and entries
• Glaze hardness of 7 for strong scratch resistance against pets and furniture
• Frost resistant for indoor-outdoor continuity on patios and porches
• Moderate (V2) shade variation, so each plank looks like a different board

Where to Install

Living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry and mudrooms, basements, sunrooms, and covered or open patios in freezing climates. It also works on walls for a wood-plank feature or shower surround. Compatible with radiant floor heating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Overland real wood? No. It is glazed porcelain tile printed with a realistic oak grain, so it has the look of hardwood with the water and scratch resistance of tile.

What size is Overland 8x48 exactly? Each plank measures 7.87" x 47.24" and is about 3/8" (0.386") thick. One box covers 15.5 sq ft.

What layout works best for 8x48 wood-look tile? Use a random or 1/3 offset (no more than 33%) to avoid lippage on long planks, and use a leveling system. A narrow 1/16" to 1/8" grout joint in a color close to the tile keeps the wood look realistic.

Can I use Overland outdoors? Yes. Overland is rated frost resistant, so it can be used on patios and porches in cold climates when installed over a properly prepared exterior substrate.

Are other sizes available? Yes. Overland also comes in 6x36 and 6x24 planks, which you can mix for a multi-width hardwood look.
