Shaw Regent 7x22 Light Wood-Look Ceramic Tile

Shaw Regent (style 290TS) is a nominal 7" x 22" glazed ceramic plank with a clean, very light wood look, offered in a white-washed Snow and a pale silver-gray Platinum. Where rustic planks lean on heavy texture and knots, Regent keeps a smooth finish and moderate (V2) shade variation, so the floor looks calm and orderly. That restraint makes it an easy fit for contemporary baths, bright laundry rooms and kitchens where the cabinetry or backsplash should take the lead.

Best for: Modern bathrooms, small kitchens, laundry rooms, condo hallways, shower walls and bright Scandinavian-style living spaces.

Colors

• Snow 00100: a white-washed plank that reads almost white, keeping small or windowless rooms feeling open.
• Platinum 00500: a pale silver-gray wood tone with a cool cast that sits nicely beside chrome and white quartz.

Why Choose Regent 7x22

• Smooth, clean-look wood surface that is simple to wipe down
• Moderate (V2) variation for gentle board-to-board movement without busy contrast
• Wet DCOF of 0.42 or higher for interior kitchen and bath floors
• Break strength of at least 304 lbf
• Glaze hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale
• Two pale shades that brighten rooms with limited daylight

Where to Install

Because Regent is a Floor-type tile, it is suitable for both interior floors and walls. Use it across bathroom floors, kitchens, laundry rooms, entries and bedrooms, or run it vertically up a shower wall or behind a vanity. There is no frost rating listed, so it should stay inside the conditioned part of the home rather than on decks or open porches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Shaw Regent tile white or gray? Shaw Regent comes in both: Snow 00100 is a white-washed, nearly white plank, and Platinum 00500 is a pale silver-gray wood tone.

Is smooth wood-look ceramic tile slippery in a bathroom? Shaw Regent has a smooth finish but carries a wet DCOF rating of 0.42 or higher, the usual benchmark for level interior floors that may get wet; bath mats and prompt drying still help.

Will light wood-look tile show dirt? Pale planks like Shaw Regent Snow can show dark grit sooner than mid-tone wood, while Platinum's silver-gray hides everyday dust a little better; a slightly darker grout also keeps joints from looking dingy.

Can Regent 7x22 tile go on a shower wall? Yes. Shaw Regent is a glazed ceramic plank that can be installed on shower walls, and its lighter weight compared with denser tile makes vertical work easier.

What grout should I use with Regent Snow? A bright white or soft white grout in a tight joint makes Shaw Regent Snow look like a continuous painted-wood floor, while a light warm gray adds a little definition between planks.

Design Pairing Guide

Snow works with flat-panel walnut or white oak vanities, matte black or brushed brass faucets, crisp white walls and white grout for a Nordic feel. Platinum pairs with gray-blue or charcoal cabinetry, polished chrome, pale gray walls and a silver-gray grout, and it complements white marble-look counters.
