Tesoro Woods Engineered Bamboo – Tucson 7-1/2"

Tucson is a wide plank strand bamboo with light shades of brown and cream. Its handscraped surface gives a rustic, old-world feel, and the 7-1/2" x 6-foot click planks make a room feel open and spacious.

Frequently Asked Questions

What color is Tucson? A light, blended floor of soft browns, creams, and hints of gray. It is lighter than Roasted Bark and Coffee X-Wide.

What does handscraped mean? The surface is scraped to create gentle dips and texture, like a reclaimed floor. The texture also helps hide scratches and everyday wear.

Is strand bamboo harder than oak? Yes. Strand-woven bamboo is compressed under high pressure, and Tesoro rates it at over 3,000 on the Janka scale. Red oak is about 1,290.

How does it install? The planks have a click-lock profile, so they snap together and float over the subfloor without glue or nails. Follow Tesoro Woods' installation guidelines for subfloor flatness and moisture testing.

Strand Bamboo Strength in a Wide Plank

Strand-woven bamboo is made by shredding bamboo stalks into fibers and pressing them into dense blocks, which makes it far harder than most hardwoods. Tesoro bonds a 3mm strand bamboo wear layer to a stable engineered core, then mills each wide 6-foot plank with a click-lock profile and micro-beveled edges. A UV-cured acrylic urethane finish protects the handscraped surface with a low-sheen look.

Healthy, Rapidly Renewable Flooring

Bamboo is a grass that regrows in a few years, making it one of the most renewable flooring materials available. Tesoro Engineered Bamboo is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality, has no added urea formaldehyde and no VOCs, and is Lacey Act compliant.

Design Pairing Guide — Tucson

Tucson's light, blended tones suit Southwestern, rustic, and modern farmhouse rooms. Pair it with warm white walls, terracotta, wrought iron, and woven textiles.

Ideal Applications

Living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, home offices, and kitchens. Wipe up spills promptly. Not recommended for full bathrooms, laundry rooms with standing water, or other wet areas.

Why Choose Tucson?
