Tesoro Woods Solid Bamboo – Coffee Bean 5-5/8"

Coffee Bean is the darkest color in the Tesoro Woods Solid Bamboo line: a dark, rich brown solid strand bamboo with a smooth surface, on long 6-foot tongue-and-groove planks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What color is Coffee Bean? A deep, rich espresso brown. It is the darkest of the Tesoro solid bamboo colors.

Will a dark floor show dust and scratches? Dark, smooth floors show dust and light scratches more than lighter or textured floors. A matte finish helps, and felt pads and entry mats go a long way.

Is solid strand bamboo harder than oak? Yes. Strand-woven bamboo is compressed under high pressure, and Tesoro rates it at over 3,000 on the Janka scale. Red oak is about 1,290.

Can it be refinished? Yes. Because the plank is solid strand bamboo, it can be sanded and refinished.

Solid Strand Bamboo, Built to Last

Strand-woven bamboo is made by shredding bamboo stalks into fibers and pressing them into dense blocks, which makes it far harder than most hardwoods. Tesoro mills the solid strand blocks into long 6-foot planks with tongue-and-groove joints and micro-beveled edges, then protects them with a UV-cured acrylic urethane finish.

Healthy, Rapidly Renewable Flooring

Bamboo is a grass that regrows in a few years, making it one of the most renewable flooring materials available. Tesoro Solid Bamboo is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality, has no added urea formaldehyde and no VOCs, and is Lacey Act compliant.

Design Pairing Guide — Coffee Bean

Coffee Bean's deep brown grounds modern, industrial, and traditional rooms alike. Pair it with crisp white or light gray walls, black metal, light upholstery, and brass accents for contrast.

Ideal Applications

Living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, home offices, and kitchens. Wipe up spills promptly. Not recommended for full bathrooms, laundry rooms with standing water, or other wet areas.

Why Choose Coffee Bean?

For a dramatic dark floor that is harder than oak and can be refinished, Coffee Bean is the boldest color in the Tesoro Solid Bamboo line.
