Wicanders Cork Go Floating Plank - Desire 12"x36"

Wicanders Cork GO Desire — 12" x 36" Rich-Grain Floating Cork Floor

Wicanders Cork GO Desire is a floating cork floor with a richer, deeper grain pattern that shows off cork's natural character. It adds warmth and personality to open living and dining areas while stopping short of a heavy, rustic look.

Best for: Open-plan living and dining rooms, kids' bedrooms and farmhouse-style homes.

The Look

Where some Cork GO colors aim to disappear, Desire leans into the material. The grain is more pronounced, giving the floor visible depth and movement across the room. That makes it a natural fit for a farmhouse dining room, one of our room photos, and for children's bedrooms, where a floor with character is forgiving of everyday life.

Why Choose Desire?

• Expressive natural grain with real depth
• Cushioned cork makes time spent sitting or playing on the floor more comfortable
• Naturally resists mold and mildew
• Glueless click installation suited to confident DIYers
• Genuine cork veneer surface rather than a printed image

Installation

Desire uses Wicanders' Floating 2G locking system, and the finished floor floats freely, so leave the expansion space called for in the installation instructions at walls and doorways. Keep the unopened cartons in the room for at least 48 hours first, with the temperature between 18°C and 28°C and relative humidity between 35% and 65%.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Desire work with dark furniture? Yes. Its richer grain pairs naturally with espresso-stained cabinetry, oil-rubbed bronze and warm stone, creating a cozy, layered room.

Is Desire a good choice for a kids' room? Cork is softer and warmer underfoot than tile or stone, and Wicanders reports its cork floors cut walking noise compared with laminate. It is moisture-resistant rather than waterproof, so wipe up spills quickly.

Will sunlight change Desire over time? Cork can age when it gets strong direct sun, so Wicanders recommends blinds, curtains or other window screening in very sunny rooms.

What warranty comes with Desire? Cork GO Desire carries a 10-year residential warranty from Wicanders.
