Frequently Asked Questions

Is Natural Timbers real hardwood? Yes. It's engineered hardwood: a real white oak surface over a stable layered core, 1/2" thick.

Will I see knots? Yes. Natural Timbers is meant to show white oak's natural knots and grain.

Is it waterproof? No. Like all real hardwood it isn't waterproof, so wipe up spills promptly and avoid full bathrooms and other wet areas.

Can it go in a basement or over radiant heat? Yes. It's approved above, on or below grade and for radiant heat, and can be glued down or floated over a properly prepared slab.

How many cartons do I need? Each carton covers 35.99 sq ft. Multiply your room's square footage by 1.08 to add 8% overage, then divide by 35.99 and round up. For example, a 500 sq ft room needs 16 cartons.

Can I see Orchard Smooth before I order? Yes. Order up to 3 free samples, or call 1-888-976-8166 for help choosing a color.
