Philadelphia Commercial Backdrop I 6 Walkway-Width Indoor/Outdoor Carpet (6 ft)

Philadelphia Commercial Backdrop I 6 (style #54682) is a commercial indoor/outdoor broadloom carpet produced in a 6 ft width, made domestically from UV PET polyester (60%) and UV polypropylene (40%) in nine dark colors. The narrow width is its defining feature: a 6 ft roll fits a walkway, porch, dock or entry with little trimming and no seam down the middle. It carries the same colors as the 12 ft Backdrop I 12, so paths and the larger spaces they connect can match.

Best for: Walkways and breezeways, porches, building entries, boat docks and marina gangways, and compact patios at multifamily and hospitality properties.

Colors

• Forest Night 00300: a dark, shadowy green that blends with landscaping along garden paths.
• Artesian Well 00400: slate blue softened with gray, at home on a dock or near water.
• Iron Blue 00401: a navy so deep it reads close to charcoal in shade.
• Whetstone 00500: a cool mid-charcoal and the palest option in the line.
• Ashes 00501: a dark, even charcoal with no strong undertone.
• Anvil 00502: a dark gray with a subtle warm cast.
• Night Time 00503: near-black for maximum soil hiding at busy entries.
• Bracken 00701: a deep brown with an olive tint, like forest floor.
• Saddle 00702: an almost-black brown with a warm undertone.

Why Choose Backdrop I 6

• 6 ft width suits walkways, porches and docks with minimal waste
• UV polyester and polypropylene blend for sun resistance
• U.S. manufacturing by Philadelphia Commercial
• Nine dark colors that keep high-traffic paths looking clean
• Color-matched to the 12 ft Backdrop I 12

Installation

The manufacturer's spec sheet lists direct glue-down as the recommended installation for Backdrop I 6. Install over a clean, sound, well-drained surface using an adhesive rated for exterior use, and finish the edges so they will not catch. On docks, confirm the decking material and adhesive with your installer. Full details are on the Backdrop I 6 spec sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a 6 ft wide outdoor carpet like Backdrop I 6? A 6 ft roll such as Philadelphia Commercial Backdrop I 6 matches the width of many walkways, porches and docks, so it installs with less waste and no seam down the center of the path.

Does Backdrop I 6 match Backdrop I 12? Yes. Backdrop I 6 shares its nine colors and fiber blend with Backdrop I 12, so a 12 ft patio and the 6 ft paths leading to it can be specified in the same color.

How is Backdrop I 6 installed? The spec sheet calls for direct glue-down. Use an exterior-rated adhesive over a sound, well-drained surface.

Can Backdrop I 6 be used on a boat dock? Docks and marinas are typical uses for narrow indoor/outdoor carpet, and Backdrop I 6 uses UV-stabilized fibers that resist fading. Confirm the adhesive for your dock surface with your installer.

Which Backdrop I 6 color hides dirt best? Night Time 00503 and Saddle 00702 are the darkest Backdrop I 6 colors and the best at hiding tracked-in soil at entries.

Specifier Tips

Measure the path before ordering: if it is 6 ft or a little less, Backdrop I 6 will cover it in one piece. On a marina or waterfront property, Artesian Well or Iron Blue suits the setting; along garden paths, Forest Night or Bracken blends with planting. Use the matching Backdrop I 12 for the deck or patio at the end of the walk.
