Philadelphia Commercial Tecton 36x36 Industrial Mineral Look Commercial Luxury Vinyl Tile

Philadelphia Commercial Tecton (style #5666V) is a 36" x 36" commercial luxury vinyl tile whose industrial, sculptural look is what the maker calls an evolution of raw materials. Its mineral textures and colors borrow from the imperfect beauty of natural stone and concrete, but at a scale few vinyl tiles offer: each tile covers nine square feet, so seams are widely spaced and the floor reads almost like a poured surface. Tecton is heavy commercial luxury vinyl tile reinforced with fiberglass, protected by an ExoGuard+® finish, and installed by direct glue.

Best for: Corporate lobbies, showrooms, flagship retail, restaurants, hotel public spaces, museums and modern open offices that want a concrete or stone feel.

Colors

• Alpine 00100: a pale cool gray, like polished light concrete.
• Cascades 00510: a true mid gray with almost no color bias.
• Atlas 00525: a deep graphite gray with industrial weight.
• Dolomite 00705: a soft warm greige stone.
• Serra 00715: a mid taupe-gray with earthy warmth.
• Pelham 00720: a dark warm gray, the richest of the warm trio.

Tecton's six colors split into a cool gray trio (Alpine, Cascades, Atlas) and a warmer greige trio (Dolomite, Serra, Pelham), each running light to dark.

Why Choose Tecton 36x36

• Large 36" x 36" format, nine square feet per tile, for a near-seamless look
• Industrial mineral visual inspired by raw, naturally imperfect materials
• Fiberglass-reinforced heavy commercial tile body
• ExoGuard+® top coat that resists scuffing and staining
• Six colors arranged as cool and warm families

Installation Methods

Tecton is listed for direct glue installation: each 36x36 tile is fully adhered to the subfloor, which keeps such a large format flat and secure under foot traffic and furniture. Large-format tiles show any subfloor imperfection, so flatness and patching matter more than with small planks. Layouts can be straight grid or offset; a one-third offset is common for large squares. Confirm any additional approved methods on the spec sheet, and follow the Philadelphia Commercial installation guide for substrate preparation and moisture testing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use 36x36 luxury vinyl tile instead of smaller tiles? A 36" x 36" tile like Tecton has far fewer seams per room than 12x24 or 18x18 tiles, so the floor looks closer to polished concrete or large stone slabs while keeping the comfort and easy care of vinyl.

What look does Tecton have? Philadelphia Commercial Tecton has an industrial, sculptural mineral look with textures and colors drawn from raw, naturally imperfect materials, similar to concrete or weathered stone.

Is Tecton suitable for retail and lobbies? Yes. Tecton is heavy commercial luxury vinyl tile with a fiberglass-reinforced build and ExoGuard+ finish, which suits corporate lobbies, retail and hospitality spaces.

Are there other large-format vinyl tiles? We also carry Precast 36x36 and the loose lay Alchemist 36x36 from Philadelphia Commercial if you want to compare large-format options with Tecton.

How do I order Tecton? Tecton pricing is set per job, with a 250 sq ft minimum order; reach our commercial desk at 1-888-976-8166 to start a quote and get Tecton samples.

Specifier Tips

Use Tecton in Atlas or Pelham at entries and service counters, and Alpine or Dolomite across open lobby areas for brightness. Because the tile is so large, have the floor leveled to tight tolerances and dry-lay a few tiles to plan cuts at doorways and columns. Tecton pairs well with wood-look LVP in adjoining office suites when you pick matching undertones, such as warm Serra beside a greige oak plank.
