Frequently Asked Questions

Is Paragon Tile Plus waterproof? Yes. The SPC core is 100% waterproof, which makes it a strong fit for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, mudrooms and basements. Wipe up standing water promptly and follow Shaw's installation guide for wet areas.

Do I need grout? No. Paragon Tile Plus clicks together like a plank floor, so there's no grout, mortar or sealing. The painted bevel edges give the look of a grout line without the maintenance.

Do I need a separate underlayment? No cushion underlayment is needed because an EVA pad is already attached. When installing over concrete, check Shaw's installation guide for moisture requirements.

How many cartons do I need? Each carton covers 15.83 sq ft. Multiply your room's square footage by 1.08 to add 8% overage, then divide by 15.83 and round up. For example, a 200 sq ft bathroom or laundry room needs 14 cartons.
