Shaw Grandeur 8x16 Gloss White Ceramic Wall Tile

Shaw Grandeur 8x16 Gloss (Shaw style 414TS) is a large-format glazed ceramic wall tile in a nominal 8" x 16" size, measuring 7.87" x 15.75", offered in a glossy White. As the biggest Grandeur ceramic, it covers a wall with roughly half the grout lines of the 4x16, so a shower or tub surround looks smooth and is easier to keep clean. At 0.236" it is also the thinnest piece in the family, which keeps it light on the wall. Shaw rates it frost resistant; it absorbs 0.50% or less water and has a 275 lbf break strength.

Grandeur 8x16 Gloss is classified as an accent tile, so it belongs on walls: full shower enclosures, tub surrounds, wainscot, backsplashes and laundry walls. Do not use it on floors. The frost rating also allows exterior wall installs, for example around an outdoor sink or on a covered porch, over a suitable exterior substrate. Its larger size pays off on wide, flat walls where small subway would mean many more joints.
