Shaw Grandeur Picket Matte Mosaic Porcelain Tile

Shaw Grandeur Picket Matte (style 424TS) is a matte glazed porcelain mosaic of slender, point-ended picket pieces on 11.18" x 12.52" sheets, offered in White, Warm Grey, Taupe and Carbon. The matte surface turns the shape used in the gloss version into something quieter and more modern: no glare under pendant lights, and a face that hides water marks. That makes it a good fit for bathrooms, mudrooms and minimalist kitchens. Impervious porcelain, low (V1) shade variation and a frost-resistant rating keep it practical as well as decorative.

Best for: Bathroom accent walls, shower niches, minimalist kitchen backsplashes, mudroom and laundry features, covered outdoor accents.

Colors

• White 00100: a soft, chalky white that looks calm in a modern bath.
• Warm Grey 00500: muted warm gray pickets for a relaxed, low-contrast wall.
• Taupe 00550: matte taupe with a natural, earthy tone.
• Carbon 00950: flat charcoal pickets for a bold, contemporary statement.

Why Choose Grandeur Picket Matte

• Slim picket pieces with pointed ends for a refined pattern
• Matte glaze that cuts glare and hides water spots
• Wet DCOF of 0.42 or higher
• Water absorption of 0.50% or less
• Frost resistant
• Low (V1) shade variation

Where to Install

Grandeur Picket Matte is an accent tile best placed on walls and focal points: shower walls and niches, a powder room accent, a mudroom bench wall, a laundry backsplash or a modern kitchen backsplash. Its frost rating means it can also handle covered exterior features.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is matte picket tile good in a shower? Yes, on walls and niches. Shaw Grandeur Picket Matte 424TS is impervious porcelain, and its matte glaze hides water spots, which keeps shower walls looking clean between wipe-downs.

Which direction should picket tile run? Set Grandeur Picket Matte so the pickets run vertically to make a wall feel taller, or horizontally to make a backsplash feel wider.

What is the difference between Grandeur Picket Matte and Picket Gloss? Grandeur Picket Matte has a low-sheen glaze that hides smudges, while Grandeur Picket Gloss has a reflective glaze that brightens a wall. Size, shape and colors are the same.

Does Grandeur Picket Matte need sealing? The porcelain does not need sealing because it absorbs 0.50% or less water, but sealing the grout on Grandeur Picket Matte helps it resist stains in kitchens and showers.
