Shaw Prime Aura 12x24 Polished Marble-Look Porcelain Tile

Shaw Prime Aura Polished 12x24 (style 498TS) is a glazed porcelain tile with a high-shine polished finish and a marble look of neutral tones and silvery gray veins, measuring 11.81" x 23.62" (nominal 12" x 24"). The polish deepens the contrast in the veining and bounces light around a room, which is why this size is a favorite for bathroom walls, shower surrounds and powder rooms where reflection makes a small space feel bigger. It comes in the same four colors as the matte version, so the two finishes can be combined in one bathroom.

Best for: shower and tub surrounds, bathroom walls, powder room floors, fireplace surrounds and kitchen backsplashes.

Colors

• Onyx Crystallo 00110: a hazy gray-white that takes on a soft, glassy depth when polished.
• Carrara Abisso 00111: a crisp white with delicate gray veins that looks like classic polished Carrara.
• Statuario Brina 00150: brilliant white with dramatic gray veining, the boldest of the four under polish.
• Perla Grigia 00500: a refined pearl gray with a lustrous, reflective surface.

Why Choose Prime Aura Polished 12x24

• Polished finish heightens vein contrast and reflects light
• 12x24 rectangles are a manageable size for wall and shower installs
• Glazed porcelain with ≤ 0.50% water absorption; no sealing needed
• Wet DCOF of ≥ 0.42
• Moderate (V2) variation for natural-looking marble movement
• Coordinates with Prime Aura Matte 12x24 in the same four colors

Where to Install

Prime Aura Polished 12x24 is rated as a floor tile and works on walls too. It is at its best on bathroom walls, shower and tub surrounds, fireplace faces and kitchen backsplashes, and on floors in powder rooms, living areas and other mostly dry spaces. Shaw does not list a frost rating for the polished 12x24, so keep it indoors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Shaw Prime Aura polished porcelain slippery? Polished tile feels slicker than matte when wet, although Prime Aura Polished 12x24 carries a published wet DCOF of at least 0.42. Many homeowners put the polished tile on shower walls and use the matte version on wet floors.

Can I use polished 12x24 tile on a shower wall? Yes. Prime Aura Polished 12x24 is impervious glazed porcelain, so it handles shower walls well, and its reflective finish makes a shower enclosure feel brighter.

What grout color goes with Carrara-look polished tile? For Prime Aura Polished 12x24 in Carrara Abisso or Statuario Brina, a white or very light gray grout with narrow joints keeps the surface looking like continuous marble. Perla Grigia looks best with a soft gray grout.

Should I choose 12x24 or 24x48 Prime Aura Polished? The 12x24 is easier to install on walls and in small rooms, while the Prime Aura Polished 24x48 shows longer stretches of veining with fewer grout lines on large floors and feature walls.

Is Prime Aura Polished 12x24 real marble? No. Prime Aura Polished 12x24 is glazed porcelain with a marble design, so it will not etch from acidic spills or need sealing the way natural marble does.
