Shaw Casino 12x24 Matte Marble-Look Porcelain Tile

Shaw Casino Matte 12x24 (style CS34W) is a nominal 12" x 24" glazed porcelain floor and wall tile with a matte marble look, measuring 11.81" x 23.62". It is the low-sheen counterpart to the polished Casino 12x24: the same seven marble colorways, but with a surface that reads like honed stone, softens glare from windows and shows fewer footprints and water spots. That makes it the more practical Casino choice for bathroom floors, mudrooms and busy kitchens. The tile has a break strength of 500 lbf or more, a wet CoF of 0.42 or higher, and is frost resistant.

Best for: Bathroom floors, kitchens, mudrooms and entries, laundry rooms, shower walls, and covered patios.

Colors

• Calacatta 00121: white with gold veining, toned down by the matte glaze into a softer honed-marble look.
• Statuario 00151: white with gray veins, a timeless pick for a bath floor with white fixtures.
• Bianco 00150: an uncomplicated white that brightens a kitchen without strong veining.
• Zebrino 00155: white and gray linear stripes; lay them in one direction to stretch a narrow hallway.
• Allure 00200: a cream-beige marble that pairs easily with wood and warm paint colors.
• Stella 00500: gray-green marble, an earthy option for a mudroom or spa-style bath.
• Ash 00550: a gray, per its name, that hides everyday dirt better than the whites.

Why Choose Casino Matte 12x24

• 15.5 sq ft per box

Where to Install

Casino Matte 12x24 is a floor-rated tile, so it can go on floors and walls throughout the house: kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, entries and basements, plus shower walls. Because it is frost resistant, it can continue onto a covered porch or patio. Set it in a 1/3 offset or a straight stack to limit lippage along the 24" length.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Shaw Casino Matte 12x24 slippery? Shaw Casino Matte 12x24 has a wet CoF of 0.42 or higher, and its matte surface feels less slick underfoot than polished Casino, which makes it the better Casino choice for bathroom and entry floors.

Should I choose Casino Matte or Casino Polished 12x24? Pick Shaw Casino Matte 12x24 for a honed, low-glare floor that hides spots; pick the Casino Polished 12x24 (CS30Z) if you want a glossy, reflective marble look in a living area or on walls.

What offset works best for Casino Matte 12x24? For Shaw Casino Matte 12x24, use a 1/3 offset (no more than 33%) instead of a half brick bond, because long tiles can have a slight center bow that causes lippage at 50%.

How many boxes of Casino Matte 12x24 do I need? Each box of Shaw Casino Matte 12x24 covers 15.5 sq ft. Divide your square footage by 15.5 and add 10-15% for cuts; a 300 sq ft floor works out to about 22 to 23 boxes.

Can Casino Matte 12x24 go on a shower floor? Shaw Casino Matte 12x24 works well on shower walls. For the sloped shower floor itself, smaller-format tile follows the pitch to the drain more easily than a 24" piece.
