Shaw Revel 24x48 Matte Concrete-Look Porcelain Tile

Shaw Revel 24x48 (style 749TS) is a matte glazed porcelain tile in a large 23.5" x 47.13" format (nominal 24" x 48"), made in Italy with a solid concrete-and-clay look in five colors. It is the largest smooth Revel size, so it produces the cleanest, most seamless surface in the family: a living room needs only a fraction of the grout joints the 12x24 would create. The matte face suits contemporary interiors, and its performance data covers impervious absorption, frost resistance and a wet DCOF of at least 0.42.

Best for: Open living and dining areas, modern kitchens, primary bathrooms, large entries and slab-style feature walls.

Colors

• Panna 00100: a smooth cream that makes big rooms feel calm and bright.
• Oliva 00300: deep olive-sage across a large panel, a confident color for a modern kitchen.
• Avio 00400: slate blue that looks sophisticated on a bathroom feature wall.
• Cenere 00500: an understated ash gray-brown for minimalist interiors.
• Nocciola 00700: hazelnut beige that warms a large open floor.

Why Choose Revel 24x48

• Large nominal 24" x 48" format for a near-seamless floor or wall
• Matte finish with a clean, contemporary appearance
• Wet DCOF of 0.42 or higher
• Water absorption of 0.50% or less
• Frost resistant
• Made in Italy

Where to Install

Revel 24x48 is a frost-resistant floor tile that can be used on floors and walls, indoors and out, though its smooth matte face is mainly chosen for interiors: open-plan living spaces, kitchens, primary baths and large feature walls. For exposed outdoor areas, the textured version is the better match.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will 24x48 tile make my room look bigger? Usually, yes. Shaw Revel 24x48 has far fewer grout lines than smaller tiles, so the floor reads as one continuous surface and the room feels more open.

What subfloor prep does Revel 24x48 need? Revel 24x48 needs a very flat substrate, since long tiles show dips and humps. Installers typically use a large-format mortar, back-butter each tile and add a leveling clip system.

Can Revel 24x48 go on a wall? Yes. Revel 24x48 is a floor tile that can also be installed on walls, where the big panels create a clean, slab-like feature behind a vanity or fireplace. Use a mortar rated for large, heavy wall tile.

Should I choose matte Revel 24x48 or Revel Textured 24x48? Choose Revel 24x48 for smooth interior floors and walls, and Revel Textured 24x48 for patios and wet areas where a textured surface is preferred. Size and colors match, so they can be used side by side.

What offset should I use for 24x48 tile? For Revel 24x48, use an offset of no more than 33% or a stacked layout to reduce lippage along the long edges.

Design Pairing Guide

Panna pairs with pale oak, boucle fabrics and brushed brass. Oliva works with walnut, cream walls and black accents; Avio with white lacquer cabinets and chrome. Cenere looks clean with concrete counters and matte black, and Nocciola suits warm woods, terracotta and linen. A slim grout joint in a matching tone keeps the big panels looking continuous.
