Shaw Mirage 13x13 Marble-Look Porcelain Tile

Mirage SA980 from Shaw is a 13x13 (12.99" square) glazed porcelain tile with a smooth Pulpis marble-and-stone look, produced in Turkey. At 0.28" thick it is the slimmest Mirage size, and the mid-size square suits bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens where a 20" tile would need too many cuts. It is offered in Haven, a soft greige, and Refuge, a gray with visible veining, which gives this size a cooler option the 20x20 does not carry.

Best for: Bathroom floors, laundry rooms, small kitchens, hallways, and condo-sized rooms.

Colors

• Haven 00250: a calm, soft greige that keeps a small bath feeling warm without turning yellow.
• Refuge 00550: a gray marble look with veining that adds movement to a simple square floor.

Why Choose Mirage 13x13

• 13" square sized for bathrooms and smaller rooms
• Slim 0.28" profile, helpful where floor height must stay low next to existing flooring
• Smooth marble-look surface
• Break strength of 350 lbf or more
• Wet DCOF of 0.42+ and water absorption of 0.50% or less
• Frost resistant

Where to Install

For floors and walls, inside or outside. It fits bathrooms, laundry and mudrooms, kitchens, and entries, and it can be used on frost-exposed porches. In a shower, the 13x13 works on the walls; for the shower pan, a smaller tile is easier to slope.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Mirage 13x13 go in a shower? Shaw Mirage 13x13 works well on shower walls and bathroom floors; for the sloped shower floor itself, a smaller mosaic-size tile is easier to pitch toward the drain.

Which Mirage color has veining? Refuge 00550 is the gray Mirage color with visible veining; in the Shaw Mirage 13x13 it is offered alongside Haven, a soft greige.

Is 13x13 a good tile size for a small bathroom? Yes. Shaw Mirage 13x13 is large enough to keep grout lines modest but small enough to fit around a toilet and vanity without many thin slivers.

How does Mirage 13x13 compare with the 20x20? Shaw Mirage 13x13 is thinner (0.28"), better scaled to small rooms, and offers the gray Refuge color; the Mirage 20x20 suits large open floors and comes in Haven and Retreat.

What grout goes with Mirage Refuge? For Shaw Mirage Refuge 00550, a light or medium gray grout picks up the veining, while charcoal grout creates a bolder grid.
