Shaw Prime Aura 24x24 Matte Marble-Look Porcelain Floor Tile

Shaw Prime Aura Matte 24x24 (style 499TS) is a large-format square porcelain tile with a marble look and a matte glazed surface, measuring 23.62" x 23.62", nominal 24" x 24". The square format is the one to choose for open floors where you want marble that feels balanced from every direction, with about half the grout lines of a 12x12 layout. Matte keeps the surface soft and practical in busy kitchens and entries, and Shaw rates this size frost resistant for outdoor areas.

Best for: open-concept living and kitchen floors, entry halls, large bathrooms, sunrooms and patios.

Colors

• Onyx Crystallo 00110: a softly clouded gray-white that reads calm across a large square floor.
• Carrara Abisso 00111: fine gray veins on white give big squares a clean, classic Italian marble look.
• Statuario Brina 00150: bright white with strong gray veining that makes a 24x24 floor feel like slab stone.
• Perla Grigia 00500: a pearl gray that grounds large rooms and forgives daily dust.

Why Choose Prime Aura Matte 24x24

• Large 24" square format with fewer grout joints than smaller tile
• Low-sheen matte glaze; Wet DCOF ≥ 0.42
• Frost resistant for patios and porches
• Glazed porcelain body: ≤ 0.50% water absorption, no sealing
• Moderate (V2) shade variation for realistic marble variety
• 15.5 sq ft per box

Where to Install

Prime Aura Matte 24x24 is a floor tile that also suits walls. Use it for open living spaces, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and mudrooms, or on a large shower or feature wall. Its frost resistance makes it a candidate for exterior patios and porches, so an indoor floor can continue outside in the same color.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 24x24 tile good for small rooms? It can be. Large tiles like Prime Aura Matte 24x24 reduce grout lines, which often makes a small room feel larger, though very small spaces need more cuts. A 24x24 floor works well in bathrooms with simple layouts.

What substrate does 24x24 tile need? Large-format tile like Prime Aura Matte 24x24 needs a flat substrate and full mortar coverage with a large-format tile mortar. A tile leveling system helps keep edges even.

Can Prime Aura Matte 24x24 go on a patio? Yes. Shaw lists Prime Aura Matte 24x24 as frost resistant, so it can be used on exterior patios and porches with an appropriate outdoor installation.

How does Prime Aura Matte 24x24 compare with the polished 24x24? Both are 23.62" squares in the same four colors. The matte 24x24 is the practical choice for kitchens, entries and outdoor areas, while Prime Aura Polished 24x24 gives a reflective, formal finish for living spaces and walls.

Which Prime Aura color is easiest to keep clean? On Prime Aura Matte 24x24, Perla Grigia hides dust, footprints and water spots best, while the bright Statuario Brina shows them most. Any of the colors cleans easily with a pH-neutral tile cleaner.
